Etafa, Argaw, Gemechu & Melese, (2018) article addresses the problem the nurses' attitude on the adoption of the pressure ulcers preventative guidelines and the barriers to the implementation of the evidence-based guidelines. The study is significant in the nursing practice because pressure ulcers (PU)are regarded as a major quality issue in the health system. Therefore, the findings of the research contribute to the enhancement of management of PU. The purpose of the research was to investigate the attitude of the nurses and the perceived barriers to the prevention of PU. The primary objective of the research was to explore the attitude of the nurses and barriers to the PU prevention in Public Health systems in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The first research question was “what is the impact of the attitude of the nurses on the PU prevention? The second research question was “which barriers to PU prevention?”
The second article is by Gill & Moore, (2013). The problem addressed by the researchers is the attitude of PU prevention among undergraduate nurses. According to the authors, the undergraduate nurses are competent on the prevention of the pressure ulcers; hence they may not be able to comply with the established guidelines. The aim of the research was to analyze the attitude of the undergraduate nurses towards the prevention of PU. Gill and colleague (2013) research is important in the practice of nursing because it provides crucial knowledge on how the attitude of the nurses impacts the prevention of PU; thus improving the quality of care.
