There has been an ongoing debate on the ethical issues, social and biological issues in the cloning for medical purposes. The main opposers of the cloning are the religious institutions and conservative politicians, while the primary supporters are the scientific community.  The cloning has made medical benefits that will positively to the health sector; therefore, the companies that research on cloning can serve their interest and consumers jointly.

            I support the cloning for the medical purpose because of various reasons. The first reason is that the general public is misinformed by politicians and other leaders about the dangers of human cloning. Most of the leaders who are against the cloning are not scientists, thus they lack the technical capabilities to explain the dangers of cloning.  One of the primary arguments of the individuals that oppose cloning argue that cloning is inheritably unsafe due to high failure rates, however, the rebuttal to this argument is that, like any other medical technology, cloning carriers a risk of failure.             

Another reason for the support of the cloning companies is that the cloning is currently in use in the medical sector. For instance, bacteria and viruses have been used in the medical sector to produce vaccines.  Some of the vaccines that have developed using the cloning technologies include Hepatitis B virus (HBV) vaccine, bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG) for tuberculosis, pneumococcal disease, whooping cough, among others.
